BTA / Delivery desk
A Repeatable Trading Alert Delivery Test Protocol
Predeclare a safe route test, expected messages and failure cases before calling the workflow reliable.
Freeze the environment and boundary
Name the selected plan, alert instance, route, destination and software versions. Record whether the destination is a screen, endpoint or isolated test receiver. Define the exact observable start and end events. A test that stops at an HTTP acknowledgement cannot report that a person read the message. A desktop result should not silently stand in for the mobile setup.
Use labelled, non-actionable synthetic messages in an isolated environment. Do not connect real account permissions to BTA's example files. The publication supplies a protocol, not an implemented production receiver. Record who owns the test, the permitted scope and the procedure for stopping it. Preserve original logs before summarising successful receipts.
Declare a finite message set
Include a complete original, its retry, an amendment, a stale original, a cancellation and a malformed object. Assign identifiers and expected interpretations in advance. A duplicate should remain in the transport history without creating another instruction. An amendment should identify its original. A stale message should not become current simply because its receipt time is recent.
Record failures as observed, including nonreceipt and missing acknowledgements. Set the observation window before seeing results and retain the expected set. If the source cannot establish what it attempted to send, report the limitation instead of inventing a coverage percentage. A test may legitimately end with unresolved events.
Report what the run establishes
Retain the environment, sample IDs, clock assumptions and actual observations with the conclusion. Separate expected behaviour from demonstrated behaviour. The synthetic kit on this site contains invented events and expectations only; loading it into the workbench does not execute any vendor route or prove that the route passes.
One completed run establishes a result under one declared setup. It does not establish continuous uptime, market capacity, achievable subscriber prices or profitability. Future provider comparisons require comparable endpoint definitions and real logs. Until such evidence exists, BTA's product comparisons remain documentary rather than measured latency rankings.
