News Alert Corrections and Original Sources
The first notification, underlying announcement and later correction should remain distinct records.
Trace the claim to its original
A news item may summarise a primary announcement, report another source or add analysis. Retain that distinction when evaluating a feed. A ticker tag and a dramatic headline do not establish what the company or original publisher actually said. Preserve the underlying reference and the first version you observed before assessing interpretation.
Save each relevant time with its event meaning: original publication, feed item, notification and your review. These fields need not be identical. A receipt time from your screen cannot independently establish when another publisher first released the information. Avoid a first-to-market claim without comparable evidence.
Keep corrections linked
A correction can change the event's meaning more than a small timing difference. Retain the earlier item, corrected fields and visible relationship. Do not overwrite the original in a favourable reconstruction. A retraction, clarification and additional analysis should be labelled according to the actual source, not all treated as new trade opportunities.
For a watchlist trial, declare relevance and repeat rules before collecting items. Preserve irrelevant or ambiguous notifications as workload evidence. A feed with more messages is not necessarily more useful; a smaller selected set is not automatically more complete. The question concerns the monitoring task and original information available.
Do not turn a headline into an audited call
A news feed can be valuable without supplying entry, risk and exit instructions. An account reaction strategy requires separate frozen rules and actual or explicitly hypothetical price evidence. Attaching a later profitable chart move to the headline does not demonstrate a subscriber result.
BTA's Benzinga note addresses published news and signals functionality, not a private-feed speed advantage. No purchased-feed or reaction-profit test was performed. The useful evidence request is an original item with source and correction history, along with the exact selected route and observed destination.

Official references describe published mechanisms. BTA's evidence packets and proposed test procedures do not claim a completed paid-feed or account trial.
