Notification vs Automated Trading: Two Contracts

Receiving information and authorising an account action are separate purchases and separate tests.

12 October 2026 / public documents and labelled test designs

Locate the authority transition

A notification can prompt review without changing an account. Automation adds a receiver that interprets the object and may have authority to act. The chain can include a publisher, transport, parser, rule owner and broker. Name each component and the boundary it acknowledges. A documented webhook option does not establish that a particular broker path is supported.

The selected product must state who chooses size, handles exits and resolves conflicting instructions. If an external bot supplies those rules, its configuration is part of the evidence. A vendor's published feature should not be credited with another component's private execution behaviour.

Test safely without live delegation

An isolated receiver can inspect labelled non-actionable payloads, validation and duplicate handling. That exercise avoids pretending a trial must use a funded account. It still needs actual run logs before any handling claim is made. The synthetic files supplied here are test designs, not executed integrations.

Do not place credentials, access tokens or private keys in BTA's forms or downloads. The site never sends requests to a trading endpoint. Consult the selected vendor's supported secure account workflow directly. A publication cannot certify the safety of a chain it has not inspected or assume permissions from a generic product description.

Account evidence has its own standard

Actual orders require their own identifiers, acknowledgements, fills and remaining exposure. A transport response can precede later application rejection. A visible notification can exist without any order. The reviewer should explicitly distinguish no order intended, order status unknown and actual account response inspected.

Choose a notification workflow if you want information without delegation, and inspect automation as a different responsibility when that is the intended task. BTA compares those mechanisms without asserting that one is universally better. Its feature notes are documentary; real connector and follower performance remain unmeasured.
